While you might not think to visit the ferry terminal without an actual ferry trip booked, however, it might be worth it. The Tsawwassen ferry terminal is situated on an exciting land spit that extends into the ocean. You get a new vantage point of the city and ocean around you.

Additionally, you can appreciate the BC Ferries as they pull in and out of the docking area. Walk-on ferries are very cheap, so you could think about adding a day trip to Vancouver Island to your vacation itinerary.
