BC Ferries

While you might not think to visit the ferry terminal without an actual ferry trip booked, however, it might be worth it. The Tsawwassen ferry terminal is situated on an exciting land spit that extends into the ocean. You get a new vantage point of the city and ocean around you.

Additionally, you can appreciate the BC Ferries as they pull in and out of the docking area. Walk-on ferries are very cheap, so you could think about adding a day trip to Vancouver Island to your vacation itinerary.

Big Splash Water Park

While this may only be a summer event, this is a must if you are travelling when the weather is right. If you are a daredevil, the slide pictured above might ignite your inner daredevil. However, there are many more tame water slides and pools to relax in.

When you aren’t hanging out in the water, there are also food and drink options like the candy café or big splash grill.

Boundary Bay Regional Park: Centennial Beach

Recommended by Nature Vancouver

Known for its extremely far-out tides, this beach is unique. Pictured above is the intertidal region where you can explore the ecosystems residing in these areas. This is less of a beach. This is less of a beach to swim at and more of walking around the beach, although if you can make the trek out to the water at low tide, nothing stops you from taking a dip.

If you have kids, they will enjoy the modern playground installed a few steps away from the beach. And if you get hungry, there are a concession open most days.

Cammidge House

This Cammidge House is a historical building built in the early 1900s. It was relocated to Boundary Bay Park in 1999, where it stands today. While you can reserve this house for functions or events should you choose, it also is worth visiting to appreciate it for its historical value. It is typical of farmhouses from the period it was built but still looks out of place and unique for today’s architecture.

Tsawwassen Mills

Recommended by Ten Best USA Today

This shopping mall has something for everyone, from electronic stores to apparel. Everyone would appreciate walking around here. Not only is it one of the largest malls in BC it also blends outlet stores with typical stores making sure you can grab a deal if that’s the sort of thing you are interested in.

Make sure to set a budget before walking in here, as you may walk away with more bags and a higher price tag than you intended.

Tsawwassen Springs Golf

Recommended by Golf Pass

This full-sized golf course is the perfect all-day activity. You could even stay in vacation-style houses for rental if you want to spend multiple days here; however, one day will also be enough. For golf enthusiasts, this is a par 70 golf course.

After a long day in the sun, you can sit back and relax at Pat Quinn’s restaurant and bar.

BC Superweek Road Race

As a stop in BC super week, there is a large road race hosted here yearly where male and female cycling professionals duke it out to become the road race champion. While this is named the ‘Delta Road Race,’ it starts and finishes within Tsawwassen, and the town has a great sense of pride regarding this event.

Usually, this occurs in early July, so hopefully, you can catch this racing while travelling. There are many fun things surrounding this event, such as food trucks, outdoor music etc. So even if bike racing isn’t your thing, this could be a great time.

Diefenbaker Park

Located a few blocks from the border with the United States, this park offers more than your typical greenspace area. While it includes the general picnic areas and playground, there is also a water park and musical garden! In the musical garden, you are surrounded by trees and plants with five musical instruments, such as drums and chimes, available for the public to play. This unique park is a hidden gem in Tsawwassen.
