Mount Robson Provincial Park

01

Valemount’s biggest claim to fame is its proximity to Mount Robson Provincial Park. Within this park sits Mount Robson, which at 3,954 meters, is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. It is an awe-inspiring view that has drawn in visitors throughout history.

There is a car parking near the base of the mountain that provides easy viewing and is a great location for a picnic. Mount Robson Provincial Park teems with local wildlife, such as mule deer, moose, elk, bears, caribou, mountain goats, and mountain sheep. It’s also bursting with natural flora, with some day hiking trails taking you across three different vegetation zones.

The provincial park allows you to explore more stunning nature, from hiking to soaring peaks, dipping into alpine lakes, treading across glaciers, or standing in the mists of waterfalls. The hiking and camping opportunities this park offers are some of the best in the world. Mount Robson is a mighty mountain to behold, and the surrounding park is filled with natural beauty. It is a pristine area to explore on your trip through Valemount.
