Manitoba Sunflower Festival

Sunflower festival

02

The Red River Valley’s climate allows Manitoba to be Canada’s largest producer of sunflowers.

The Manitoba Sunflower Festival has been around since 1964 and occurs each summer in Altona. The festival includes a quilt exhibit, a farmer’s market, vendors, Mennonite foods, and more. A key part of the festival also includes the Manitoba Sunflower Queen Pageant.
