The early morning light casts a soft glow on the dark water. Across the lake, the mountains stand stark and impressive against the sky.
Named ‘Water of the Spirits’ by the First Nations, Lake Minnewanka is a glacial lake located in the eastern part of Banff National Park. It is the second-longest lake in the Canadian Rockies. The lake is 21 kilometres long and 142 metres deep.
