Cricket Creek Farm

08

A farm that is always visited for the Christmas season for Christmas trees, Cricket Creek in the Town of Mono is a fun farm to visit at specific seasons of the year. Initially owned by Gord and Down Mckenrdy in 1962, the Cricket Creek farm, 100 acres, was used mainly for farm activities, the main and popular one being cutting your own Christmas tree. In 2017, the Mckendys sold the farm to the Johnson family after they fell in love with the beautiful ponds, hills, and meadows.

The Johnson family has Included many other cool activities to do at the farm based on the season. In the summer and spring, the farm will have the wildflower walk, where the whole family can enjoy walks, ride the wagon, and sit by the pond. In the fall, you have the pumpkin fests in October, where you can harvest your pumpkin. In the winter, keeping tradition, they let you cut your Christmas trees! The Johnson family wanted to keep the Gord and Down Mckenrdy tradition alive. Not to mention, there is always the option to buy fresh produce from the farm. So, whether you visit during Christmas, winter, fall, spring or summer, there are always fun activities at the Cricket Creek Farm.
