Irving House is the oldest intact house in the Lower Mainland.
It is still on the original property where Captain William Irving had it built in 1865. Since 1950 the City of New Westminster has owned the house and it has operated as a local heritage centre. Irving House remains a symbol of New Westminster’s prosperity and optimism during a time of rapid change and uncertainty in the colony.

Queen’s Park is a recreation and tourist attraction in New Westminster, dating from 1887. The park is 75 acres in extent. It is popular among families with kids for picnics and people who enjoy the sport.

A popular Metro Vancouver ice cream-maker, Rocky Point Ice Cream started out in 1997 as a summer ice cream shop operating out of a tiny kiosk. Their ice cream was provided by another small batch operator in Vancouver and together they would come up with new flavours including our famous K9 Doggie Ice Cream.
It has taken Rocky Point Ice Cream 22 years to find its next great location – but they have found one in New Westminster.

Glenbrook Ravine Park was the first public park in the Colony of British Columbia.
An incredible pond, bridge and waterfall area surrounded by flower beds Grove of mature trees with trails Park benches Birds and wildlife. Reconnect with nature on this enchanted trail. Gorgeous, lush trees surround you and the spring brings some beautiful bloomers.

This wonderful location, perfect either for a walk or run is called Quayside Park.
It is located along the Waterfront Esplanade and offers beautiful scenic views surrounded by nature. Located along the waterfront, close by the River Market, there are endless options for fun here.

The Samson V is an old steam powered paddle-wheeler that spent 40 years chugging up and down the Fraser River doing duty as a snag puller. Now, as it is docked permanently at the Westminster Quay and it is a floating museum.

The statue is based on the famous photo, Wait for Me, Daddy, by Claude Detloff, taken as Canadian Soldiers marched off to war.
It became iconic for Canada and for nations abroad. This art combines historical and contemporary elements to unite the historical Hyack Square and the Historic District of New Westminster with Anvil Centre across the way.

New Westminster is where one of the oldest Lacrosse teams – The New Westminster Salmonbellies – home is. It has a wooden lacrosse floor with the team’s logo.
