“Run Freddy Run”

You may know Lorette for its mascot “Freddy” the bison, who has repeatedly found his way past his electrified fence and onto the highway. A bison had been escaping its pen on a farm off Highway 405 between Lorette and Ile des Chênes, Man.

Through social media, he became the adopted mascot by many residents. His story was even reported on CBC.

Brian’s Drive Inn

April-October

Brian’s Drive Inn is a great place to enjoy homemade burgers and milkshakes on a summer day.

Brian’s Drive Inn is owned by a small local family in Lorette. It is a seasonal business open from April until the end of October.

Notre-Dame de Lorette

Construction of this Roman Catholic church in Lorette in the Rural Municipality of Tache began in 1894 and it opened in 1900. Renowned artist Louis Monty spent two years of his life, from 1900 to 1902, decorating the church with beautiful paintings.

The first burial in an associated cemetery occurred in 1873.

Church offers services in French and English.

Lorette Golf Course

If you’re looking for a round of golf on a hot summer day, you will find it in Lorette.

Lorette Golf Course is a beautiful 9-hole facility open to the public, located just as you enter the town. The course is nestled on the banks of the Seine River and includes a pro shop as well as a home-style cuisine.
