The Tecumseh Monument is located on a site honouring Chief Tecumseh and the Battle of Thames. Great Chief Tecumseh was an indigenous warrior; he played a significant role in the war of 1812. His death in the Battle of Thames marked the end of indigenous resistance against the expansion of the United States on native land.
The site has interpretive panels that allow visitors to learn about the stories of Tecumseh and how he contributed to the battle.

The Thamesville Threshing Festival is held at the end of June. This event features the Farmers’ Olympics, refreshments, a parade, a mini tractor pull, music, and many more activities! If you are in town these days, visit the festival for a fantastic time.

Ferguson Park is a large green space with a playground, splash pad, picnic areas, and a paved trail. This a great place to set up a picnic on a warm summer day while the kids cool off in the splash pad. There is much greenery around the area, with grass, trees, and shrubs that are well-maintained.

If you want to grab a bite, look no further than Sisters’ Twisters. This food truck serves funnel cakes, ice cream, fresh-cut fries, burgers, hot dogs, and poutine. Perfect for when you want lunch and have room for dessert afterwards.

If you are in town between September 3rd and October 30th, check out the Thamesville Maize. It is a maze on a 10-acre field with almost 5 km of trails.
Bring the entire family for a fun day at the farm with this challenging corn maze, along with mini mazes, picnic sites, play areas, and more!

If you are an experienced horse rider or want to learn, sign up for a lesson at Great Lakes Stables. Registration is available on their website for either 30 minutes or 1-hour private lessons. There are also options for two or four-people lessons.
