Wasagamack First Nation

Although not in St. Theresa Point, you can access the beautiful Wasagamack First Nation in Manitoba by boat from the nearest airstrip at St. Theresa Point. Join this beautiful boat ride in Northern Manitoba. St. Theresa Point is a remote Indian reserve with 478 housing units with communities like Wasagamack and Garden Hill nearby.

St. Theresa Point First Nation

This is a fly-in community northeast of Winnipeg, located on the shores of the Island Lake Region. You can access it by plane and boat in summer but winter road in the winter. The chief is David McDougall.

 

 

Lakes and forests surround the community, and skilled boaters/fishermen can take people out on the lake. The region includes three other communities; Garden Hill, Wasagamack, and Red Sucker Lake. The people of this land are called Anisinineewak.

Dutil Park

This park has a gazebo where people can perform live music and other activities. There is also available space for camping, barbequing, and setting up stands is also available. There are also picnic tables available for use.

Mason’s Delight

Mason’s Delight is a restaurant in St. Theresa Point which serves delicious cravings such as burgers, hot dogs, wraps, and chilli cheese fries. They sometimes have live music and free coffee. Grab some hot soup or sit down and enjoy a salad at Mason’s Delight!

St. Theresa Point Catholic Church

This was St. Theresa Point’s Roman Catholic Church which was burned down due to arson (determined by RCMP). The church was burned down due to the recent findings of unmarked graves at residential schools the year of the fire.
