Belvedere de la Croix

A must-see experience in Saint-Pacôme is Belvedere de la Croix. This site is a complex built in 1950 around a metal cross and located at the top of the Norbert coast.

Visitors that arrive will have a beautiful, panoramic view of the town of Saint-Pacôme, the Kamouraska region, the Charlevoix region, and the St. Lawrence River. The cross on site is an illuminated metal cross that was built by Gerard Morisset in the workshop of Plourde & Frères. The cross was blessed in 1951 as part of the centenary celebrations of the town’s parish.

It is now accessible to get to this site by vehicle, so you don’t want to miss it!

Circuit Fil Rouge | Saint-Pacôme

The Circuit Fil Rouge Saint-Pacôme is a project by the municipalities of Saint-Pacome and Riviere-Ouelle in collaboration with the National Achieves and Library of Quebec. On-site, there are large format panels, which makes visiting the circuits a unique discovery for walkers!

The circuit is characterized by integrating many subjects and using a visual presentation with modern style and graphic concepts. These interpretation panels provide information dealing with history, culture, and nature. This would interest people of all generations and helps promote the community!

Home Town of André Gagnon

André Gagnon was a pianist, composer, conductor, arranger, and actor born in Saint-Pacôme in 1936. His music is known to mix classical and pop styles, shown in his compositions Neiges, Smash, Chevauchee, Surprise, Donna, and Mouvements.

He composed for TV such as La Souris VerteVivre en ce PaysFormat 60Format 30, Techno-Flash, and Les Forges de Saint-Mauric. Also, theatre productions include La Poudre aux YeuxDoña RositaTerre d’AubeLa Dame de Chez Maxim’s, and Wouf-Wouf.

Gagnon won the Juno Award for Album of the Year in 1977, the Juno Awards for Instrumental Album of the Year in 1995 and 1978, and the Juno Award for Classical Album of the Year in 2014.

Check out his well-known songs, “Pour les Amants,” “Turluteries,” and “Mes Quatre Saisons”!

The Club de Golf St-Pacôme is an amazing golf course open to the public. On this course, visitors will get the chance to play golf while admiring the extraordinary landscape. Everyone of all levels can have fun here. The course offers great challenges to golfers for are up for it. Club De Golf St-Pacôme’s front nine course is crisscrossed by the Rivière-Ouelle and has a fascinating view of Saint-Pacôme.

Plus, the back nine course offers a panoramic view of the St. Lawrence River and the mountains of Charlevoix. Also, the chalet is open to all. It includes a dining room, a restaurant, a bar service with a terrace, and a golf shop!

Auberge Comme au Premier Jour

If you are looking for a place to stay in town, staying at the Auberge Comme au Premier Jour, a magnificent hostel with a wonderful restaurant, is recommended.

So even if you plan to stay elsewhere, do visit the restaurant! Auberge Comme au Premier Jour is in a preserved heritage building with spacious rooms, and the atmosphere is very warm and friendly. Their restaurant serves meals made with local foods, and the bread is made on-site.   There is a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu for whatever meal you come in for!

Casse-Croute Plan B

Have a meal from Casse-Croute Plan B. This amazing little spot in town is a family-owned restaurant serving you excellent homemade foods. If you can’t decide what to get, order poutine, and you will be glad you did. Everything is reasonably priced, and the portions are big. Enjoy your food indoors or outdoors, as plenty of seats are available for guests!
