Seaton Hiking Trail

The Seaton Trail is one of the best-known and most-used trails for recreation in the Pickering region. This is mainly due to its ideal day hiking length and excellent scenery.

This 14.5km out-and-back trail is a moderately challenging route taking an average of 3 hours and 15 minutes to complete. There are lots to explore and enjoy on this hike in Pickering.

Petticoat Creek Conservation Park

Enjoy the expansive great outdoors at the Petticoat Creek Conservation Park. This unique, natural corridor for wildlife and travel is home to 69 different types of trees and is a habitat for extensive wildlife.

The conservation park offers picnic areas, washrooms, playgrounds, waterfront, and lookout points. A great place visit for outdoorsy visitors to Pickering.

West Duffins Creek Lookout

The West Duffins Creek Lookout is a naturistic vista point on the Seaton Hiking Trail. The trail follows West Duffins Creek winding through a riparian habitat.

Following the trail vertically to a pristine lookout spot gives a great view of the meandering creek and surrounding forestry—a great spot to take a break and soak in the surroundings during your hike through Pickering.

Thistle Ha’ Farm

Visit the historic Thistle Ha’ Farm in Pickering. The farm is a national historic site of Canada and is a working farm comprised of 80 hectares of farmland with a farmstead including a stone house, large wooden barn, and various buildings.

The historic farm was once associated with John Miller, a pioneer who played an important role in improving stock breeding throughout North and South America in the 19th century.
