Green Gables Vines

Named after the original Victorian farmhouse homestead, Green Gables Vines is established in a part of Canada better known for its harsh winters than as a grape-growing region. However, their vineyard is planted with vines that have been carefully selected to thrive in their special microclimate. You can even rent a small part of it and experience all the steps involved in running your vineyard!

The winery is available for tastings and wine and cheese reservations.

Saunders Country Critters Zoo

What started as a small, privately owned farm in the 1990s has become a fantastic zoo and sanctuary for many domestic and exotic animals. You can expect to see everything from goats, cows and horses to lemurs, kangaroos and birds of prey.

They welcome you to take a leisurely walk around the sanctuary to participate in their free educational talks and learn about all the species in their care.

In Oxford Station, you’ll find an alpaca farm and the sweetest little shop filled with alpaca yarns and high-quality, hand-crafted textile items. Their focus is to provide high-quality, extremely warm Canadian and Peruvian-made alpaca products suited to our Canadian climate.
