Noëlville Family Hockey Tournament

February

Every February, Noëlville hosts the largest and longest-running Family Hockey Tournament in Canada.

The Noëlville Family Hockey Tournament was founded in 1977. They started with 17 teams and have quickly grown to over 40 teams. This tournament survives to this day and has become a much-anticipated event in our community where families reunite, and friends of the extended family return ‘home’ from around the world to compete in this event which now hosts between 36 – 40 teams every year.

Over the years, this tournament raised over $150,000 for local charities.

Situated on 319 acres near the French River, The Maples offers spectacular scenery along with a unique patented course. Set in the heart of Canada’s famous heritage river system, The Maples is destined to become the premier Golf & Resort destination in the French River area.  The Maples Golf opened in 2007 and offers beauty, challenge and plenty of thrilling shots.

With the power of Noëlville’s Tri-Par-designed course, the par changes daily from a youthful par 54 to a long hitter’s dream, the par 90. The Maples is the first course of its kind in the world and is very uniquely designed.  The Tri-Par-inspired course features multiple tee-off positions on every hole so that each hole can be set up to be played as a par 3, par 4 or a par 5. Meadow Springs Golf Course

The Meadow Springs Golf Course overlooks the waters of beautiful Lake Nipissing. The golf course is an attractive 18 hole challenge that serves the popular French River vacation area.

A testament to the drawing power of Meadow Springs Golf Course is the fact that the same tourists return to it year after year, many of them specifically setting aside time to make yet another attempt at conquering it. The front nine at Meadow Springs Golf Course is a layout of rolling hills with wide fairways and a mixture of both small and large greens that are, with the exceptions of the ones on the 5th and 8th holes, fairly level. The two exceptions both possess distinct slopes that can prove a real problem, especially on longer putts.

The golf course is very reasonably priced. Prices for all-day games start at $25 on weekdays, $30 on weekends, and seniors and juniors receive discounted rates. It is important to note that there is no pro shop so no rentals are offered.
