Westminster Abbey

Recommended by Mark

Whether religious or not, Westminster Abbey is a must-see when visiting Mission. From stunning architecture to a beautiful overlooking view of the Fraser Valley, this destination will not disappoint.

While it has reminiscent features of old European churches, it was built between 1953-1982 and is primarily made out of concrete. The inside is rich in complex designs, and one does not have to look far to be visually appealed to.

It was also cleverly designed so that the roof of the church is directly allowing natural light to flow onto the altar and nowhere else. Its exterior is also quite peculiar and it is evident that the church was designed relatively recently.

Centennial Park Disc Golf Course

Disc Golf is a combination of frisbee and golf where you try and get the disk into standing holes. This course is open year-round and has well-groomed playing grounds.

This attraction may not be the best for younger children as it requires lots of walking and hand-eye coordination for throwing; however, this could be an exciting and novel outdoor activity for everyone else.
