4th Line Theatre

For 30 years, 4th Line Theatre is a cultural cornerstone of the greater Kawartha Region and a national theatrical treasure.

Staging their performances between the barns of the Winslow Farm, the Company focuses on highly entertaining stories of local culture and tradition, performing works that speak to the area, and echo across the nation.

In their previous 28 seasons, 4th Line produced a staggering 37 original plays. Attendees watch the performance from bleachers under a barn roof, surrounded by the beauty of the singing birds, the summer fields, and the setting sun.

A summer evening well spent.

Pastry Peddler

Located in the centre of Millbrook’s brief but sweet downtown, this artisan bakery marries a love of cycling, community, and of course, fresh baked goods.

Stop in for breakfast or lunch (healthy comfort food from scratch), or just come for a drink—be it coffee, cider, or beer—but be sure to take some sweets with you. The atmosphere is bright and friendly, with a bohemian style of mismatched tables and chairs, and lots of stuff on the walls—including a few bicycles.

Millbrook Farmer’s Market

Fourth Sunday of every month from April-October

In a town surrounded by rich farmland, the Millbrook Farmers Market is a great chance to get a taste of all the region has to offer.

On the fourth Sunday of every month from April-October vendors gather to offer everything from local meat, eggs, herbs, honey, organic vegetables, art, crafts, ready-to-eat dishes, and locally batched hard cider. The Market is a friendly social hub for the community, where people often linger to chat or to listen to some live music. A true small-town summer experience.

Millbrook Valley Trail System

The Millbrook Valley Trails are walking trails (no vehicles or bicycles permitted) that lead through forests, fields, and marshes, along Baxter Creek.

Baxter Creek is home to herons and kingfishers and is a popular spot to fish for trout. The trail system crosses a railway bridge built in 1865; an idyllic lookout.

Trails can be accessed from two locations: besides the millpond on Distillery St, and from the Ministry of Natural Resources parking lot off Zion Line.
