Metchosin Schoolhouse is the first school building opened in British Columbia after the confederation. The school was opened in 1872 and reopened over 100 years later in 1972 as a museum. It is one of the oldest heritage-driven artifacts with a deeply rooted support system within the community.
Metchosin School Museum is a great place to explore the community’s history of education.

Witty’s Lagoon Regional Park is a seashore park with a vibrant, diverse landscape. The landscape includes woodlands, a freshwater creek, a salt marsh, a sandy seashore, and rocky headlands. The park has a variety of activities and viewpoints, such as the sitting lady falls, the lagoon, the salt marsh, trails, birdwatching, the beach, and the tower point.

Butchart Gardens is a world-renowned floral garden. Hosting over million visitors each year. The garden is open all year round and worth seeing at any time of the year, with unique seasonal displays throughout the season.

The Broken Paddle Coffee House is a local coffee shop at the heart of Metchosin. The shop uses local ingredients whenever possible. They offer freshly baked goods, drinks, and light lunches. The coffee is traded level ground coffee beans freshly roasted in West Saanich to provide rich flavour to both brewed coffee and espresso drinks.

Metchosin Farm is a local organic seed farm and nursery. Metchosin has a unique temperate Mediterranean climate ideal for seed crop populations. The farm has grown locally adapted seeds, soft fruit bushes, and plants since 2004. Locals highly praise the farm for having fresh produce.
