You may know Lorette for its mascot “Freddy” the bison, who has repeatedly found his way past his electrified fence and onto the highway. A bison had been escaping its pen on a farm off Highway 405 between Lorette and Ile des Chênes, Man.

Through social media, he became the adopted mascot by many residents. His story was even reported on CBC.
