In 2020, the Town of Minto installed a few murals in downtown Harriston as part of the ‘mural mania.’
While the painting was underway, Harriston Rising hosted a “Mural Mania” event featuring music in the streets, children’s activities and a scavenger hunt.

The Old Post Centre used to be a historic federal post office but has recently been restored to become a centre for business & creativity. This was all the work of Michael and Sue Hendrick, who purchased the old post office in 2015 and helped turn it into the success it is today.
The most exciting part is that the post office also has escape rooms! You can read more information about the escape rooms and book a room by going to their website.
Is it a hot summer day, and you’re looking to cool yourself down? Or do you just have a major sweet tooth? Whatever the case, you have to stop by The Magic Ice Cream Shoppe.
They offer over 18 flavours of ice cream, so your favourite is bound to be one! Not only that, but they also offer a variety of options, such as banana splits, sundaes, milkshakes, floats, chips, Chocolate Bars, popcorn, and cotton candy. This store is every child’s and, let’s be real, adult’s dream.

Cedarwood Honey has been in operation for over 25 years. It is a family-run beekeeping business.
They have over 600 hives located at various locations near the headquarters. This allows them to assess the hive’s state and make necessary management adjustments. Aside from honey, the bees at Cedarwood Honey also produce beeswax and pollinate numerous crops across Ontario and Quebec. Such crops include but are not limited to apples, pears, lavender, melons, canola, and so on.

The Steckle’s Produce & Flowers is a farm near Harriston. The farm first began operations in 1992 by newlyweds Joanna and Melvin. Over the years, the farm was expanded by moving the kitchen and flower gardens, replacing the greenhouse with multiple larger ones, and moving the vegetable garden into the farm fields.
You can purchase turnips, squash, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, apples, broccoli, cauliflower, and so much more.
