Galiano Island Books is an Independent Bookstore owned and operated by Lee Trentadue and Jim Schmidt, a Husband and Wife duo who were inspired to open the store after their daughter. Galiano Island Books has a rich history in Galiano Island, providing the town with books, gifts and other commodities for 20 years.
This bookstore is a great place to pick up a new book or explore the funky socks, tote bags, puppets and other gifts they offer. With over 14,000 books in stock, you will be able to find something that is perfect. Even if you do not plan on buying a book, Galiano Island Books is still worth the visit to speak to Lee and Jim about the bookstore’s history.

Opening right after World War II in 1946, The Galiano Golf Course has served the community of Galiano Island for many years. Back then, it was used just by the club members, but in 1974, they finally opened it up to the public. The Galiano Golf Course has a rich history in the town of Galiano Island and continues to be locals’ and visitors’ favourite spot to golf on the island. The golf course is perfect for any avid golfers at your party and will impress anyone you bring. With a 1936-yard course and a clubhouse with delicious food and drinks, you will want to spend all day on the course.

The Galiano Saturday Market has been a staple to the town of Galiano Island for many years. The Market runs annually from May 18th – October 19th (10:00 am – 2:00 pm) every Saturday. There is always something new to discover at the Galiano Saturday Market. The constantly rotating vendors allow anyone to find something they will enjoy.
Located at Galino Lions Park, you will discover delicious local produce, baked goods, artisan bath and body care, Children’s products, food vendors, live music, and so much more. You will not want to miss the Saturday Market when visiting Galiano Island.
