Parc Regional Montagne du Diable

Devil’s Mountain Regional Park

Perhaps the biggest draw to Ferme-Neuve is its proximity to Devil’s Mountain. An absolute dream for the outdoor enthusiast, here anybody can find an outdoor activity suited to their taste.

The Montagne du Diable Regional Park offers a trail network of 80 kilometres, each meter of which treats you to the stunning beauty of the region’s natural landscape. When you’re finished with your hike or bike, cool off in Lake Windigo or Lac de la Montagne, where you can swim, kayak, canoe, or paddleboard. For those looking for more action, the park offers two obstacle courses where folks can compete for the fastest times. The park also offers much to do in the winter, such as fat-biking and snowshoeing, and offers four different kinds of skiing – cross-country, skate skiing, nordic, and ski-hok.

The park offers many options for either camping under the stars or staying in one of its many cozy cabins, yurts, or tiny houses. All in all, Devil’s Mountain is sure to tempt you with something you’ll love!

Ferme-Neuve Festivals

Ferme-Neuve hosts many different festivals throughout the year. Those of an athletic bend will enjoy the festivals offered on the mountain, including

  • the Health Festival’s trail running races,
  • the DĂ©fi du Diable (Devil’s Challenge) race and obstacle course competition,
  • the Velo Fete mountain biking race,
  • the Ski and Snowshoe festival, or the DĂ©fi du Parc, in which an individual or small group collectively covers 100 km of trail on their choice of skis or snowshoes.

Thrill seekers and motor-heads will love the Super Party des Camionneurs, a heavy truck racing event that attracts truck lovers from all over the country.

Get a taste of the local cuisine and production at the Miles Ancien honey farm. Active from June to August, the Pollens & Nectars Canteen canteen invites you to enjoy seasonal cuisine flavoured with honey in a beautifully decorated outdoor pavilion offering a breathtaking view of Devil’s Mountain.

Seasonal menus vary according to the rhythm of arrivals and the traditions of the Canteen. Appetizers, pizzas, desserts, meads, cocktails, and wines. There is also the opportunity to buy various kinds of honey, soaps and body-care products, gourmet ingredients, and other gifts.
