Although not that well known, the No. 6 RCAF Dunnville Museum is a must-see in Dunnville. It is devoted to preserving artifacts and aircraft from the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan.
The Museum is located at the site of no.6 Service Flying Training School. The no.6 school was one of the 29 facilities in Canada that was dedicated to the training plan. Their training included operating three aircraft: Yales, Harvard, and Ansons.
After the war, the school was decommissioned and instead became the Dunnville airport. The museum came into existence around the mid-1990s when three local businessmen purchased it and financed the museum. Today, the museum offers various displays of uniforms, memorabilia, medals, and artifacts. It also has vintage aircraft, a flight simulator, and a memorial garden.
