Cowtown Brewing Co.

Cowtown Brewing Co. is Didsbury’s local watering hole. With strong community support and a strong passion for craft beer, Cowtown Brewing Company supplies delicious beers to locals and beyond.

Didsbury & District Museum

Initially, the building was constructed in 1907 as a school and was designated a Provincial Historic Site in 1997. Locals fondly refer to the building as the “Old Red Brick School.”

The building was also home to the first free library in Alberta. In 1918, the school was used as a hospital during the Spanish Flu epidemic and a yard for the military troops.

The Didsbury Museum is the largest in Mountain View County. Signature Exhibits are Agriculture (Tools and Implements), Coming of the Railroad, Didsbury Pioneer newspaper printing press, Didsbury Rural Fire Protection truck, Hair Salon and Barbershop (complete with an old-fashioned Barber’s Pole), History of Churches & Worship in the community, a Homestead Room, Local Indigenous Peoples display, Medical Clinic and Epidemic Artifacts, Military Room & Service Organizations, Miniature Antique & Vintage Cars Room, Outdoor Garden Train, posters from movies and television productions, sports memorabilia and so much more. This is a great place to learn more about Didsbury and the surrounding area.

Didsbury’s Farmer’s Market

July – October

One of Alberta’s best parts of summer and fall is enjoying a garden-fresh meal. A great way to get that fresh food—garden veggies, ripe fruit, local honey, and even homemade cookies and pies while also helping to support local farmers, gardeners, and businesses is to visit Didsbury’s Farmer’s Market.

The Didsbury Agricultural Society Farmers Market welcomes many local vendors ready to share their goods with you. The market operates every Saturday between July and October (weather permitting). This is an excellent stop to grab anything from fruits to sweets while interacting with the locals. Note that the market is located at the Didsbury Memorial Complex.

Didsbury Golf Club

This nine-hole golf course provides easy access for all ages. The Didsbury Golf Course is a pleasant community course where visitors are always welcome—featuring a beautifully maintained course featuring narrow fairways, ponds and a beautiful landscape. Three small ponds enter play on six holes, but the challenge on this course is the smaller greens. This course is tiny but intimate, and this easy-to-walk is doable with a pull cart (golf carts available for rental).
