Deep Cove Park

Deep Cove became a popular summer resort for Vancouver residents in the 1910s.

Deep Cove Park is set on the shoreline in Deep Cove. The park is almost all within a forest and has a few perimeter walking paths.

The real challenge comes with the hiking trails that include inclines, rocks, steps, and roots. The park is a beautiful place to walk, mainly located within a forest.

Baden Powell Trails

The Baden Powell Trails are world-class hiking trails that stretch from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver to Deep Cove in North Vancouver.

These trails extend almost 50 kilometres and are all well maintained. The trail is broken up into four parts, and people often participate in one of the four at a time. These trails take you through the many beautiful and scenic parts of the surrounding areas of Deep Cove.

Strathcona Lookout Park

The Strathcona Lookout Park is located right on the shore and is a popular spot to stop and take a rest.

The town of Deep Cove is very busy and active, so it is common for people to take a break at Strathcona Lookout Park. One popular activity at this park is to have a picnic while watching the water and people kayaking.

Panorama Park

Panorama Park is a green space and waterfront park with over 2.5 hectares. The park includes large grassy lawns with plenty of open space.

A small, pebbled beach allows people to launch their kayaks and tie their boats off to the dock. You can also see some fantastic views from this park. Most events in Deep Cove take place in Panorama Park, including summer concerts. Many people come to this park to take in the views of the marine. You can sit and watch boats come by all day long. The park includes a picnic area, shelter, playground, boat launch, and sightseeing benches.

Mount Seymour Provincial Park

Mount Seymour Provincial Park has abundant trails for hiking, walking, and mountain biking.

Explore the various trails with different lengths and difficulties. Many people visit this provincial park as it is known for its many viewpoints overlooking the city of Vancouver, Indian Arm Provincial Park, and Mount Baker. The park also includes Mount Seymour Resorts, which operates an 81-hectare recreation area. The park is also accessible in the winter as they have trails for both snowshoeing and skiing.

Deep Cove Kayak Centre

Deep Cove Kayak is the primary location for renting kayaks, paddleboards, and surf skis with various styles and experience levels.

The rental shop also offers lessons, hosts events and races, and has group programs. Deep Cove Kayak is in Deep Cove because of the calm waters that are perfect for paddling. Be sure to visit if you want to take one of their many recreational kayaks or paddle boards out on the water!

Mount Seymour Resort

The Mount Seymour Resort is in the Mount Seymour Provincial Park and is a hub for winter activities.

The Resort includes snowboarding and skiing for those who enjoy winter activities and being outdoors. The resort is famous as a place for people to learn but also for people with experience.

The current family owners have been operating the resort since 1984 and have prided themselves on having spaces for inexperienced and experienced skiers and snowboarders. Anyone who has an interest in these sports should visit the resort!
