The gem of Ajax is undeniably the Waterfront Park. Over 150 acres of green land along Lake Ontario brings thousands of visitors to its scenic borders. People frequently visit to use the park’s trails for jogging, cycling, in-line skating, or to take in the beauty of the landscape. This park is a local and community favourite gathering spot, and its humble beauty does not disappoint.

For nature lovers, Greenwood Conservation Area is home to over 35km of trail waiting for you to discover. Discover all species of flowers, fish, fauna, birds, and mushrooms, or if you’re a pet owner- dogs are welcome off-leash on park grounds. Fishing enthusiasts must also stop by Greenwood to try their fishing skills, nabbing the local rainbow trout in the area.

Are you feeling lucky? Casino Ajax is a staple in this town for entertainment, gaming, and dining. Nights out here are lively- over 800 slot machines and electronic games are on-site. Try your hand at a game- or sit down at the diner for burgers and pasta.

Paradise Beach is a gorgeous and scenic strip of lakefront beach and public park. Activities include swimming on the beach, tennis and volleyball court matches, a picnic area, and an adjoining children’s play area.

Another beach park in the Ajax region, lesser known than Waterfront Park but still just as beautiful and visited is Rotary Park. Visitors enjoy this lakeside sandy beach for its quiet, cozy atmosphere, the big wild foliage growing here, and the chance to see wildlife such as geese, swans, blue herons, and ducks up close. The beauty of Southern Ontario is captured in Rotary Park, and for this reason, the park draws visitors from all over.Â

This facility has been renovated from a historic church built in 1871 to a centre of arts and culture in the heart of Ajax. Performance art shows and plays are held here all year round. Stop by St. Francis and support local Canadian theatre arts and performances.

Ajax is blessed with well-maintained trails and public spaces, and this well-known spot is popular for strolls, jogging, and Veterans Day memorials. This park was named after World War II veterans who lost their lives in the war, and officials erected a monument here to honour the Forces who served Canada faithfully.
