This 40-kilometre regional park was designated Canada’s first nature sanctuary in 1958. It features the wide Upper and Lower Thetis lakes, as well as swamp ecosystems and natural beaches.

Activities here include hiking, swimming, canoeing, and kayaking. Thetis Regional Park is the most visited park in the district because of its renowned beauty and the national conservation efforts to preserve it.
