Just a few minutes from Newmarket is Sweet Acres Pig Sanctuary. Sweet Acres Pig Sanctuary is dedicated to providing “unwanted” and vulnerable animals with a safe and comfortable environment, giving them the best possible chance to thrive and live happily.

Specializing in pot-belly pigs, the sanctuary is home to 12 healthy pigs, all with their own stories that can be read on their website. The sanctuary is open for visits by appointment only.
