History

Founded by Dorothy Meigs Eidlitz—a fellow of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain and the Photographic Society of America—in 1964, Sunbury Shores Arts & Nature Centre is a non-profit cultural centre supporting the local community and schools by providing arts and nature workshops. They offer courses by acclaimed instructors, rent out their studios, and have two galleries that hold exhibitions of local, national, and international artists. In fact, Prince Philip’s first North American exhibition of his photography was held here!

Open all year, the regularly changing galleries are definitely worth a visit!
