From late June to mid-August

This fishway observation deck allows visitors to witness the many Atlantic salmon from their two wide bay windows. Guests can look at their vast exposition of photographs and historical objects related to the history of the dams and Rivière Matane (Matane River). A guide-interpreter on site can give people more detailed information on the Atlantic salmon. They offer fishing equipment rentals and can provide technical lessons on fly fishing. Additionally, they have a shop for all your fishing needs and souvenirs. If you want to set your eyes on Atlantic salmon and learn more about the local river’s history, drop by the Poste d’Observation du Saumon this summer!
