Pelican Point Park

01

Whether for a day trip or an overnight stay at the campground, Pelican Point Park provides many features for both children and adults. Located by Buffalo Lake, there is a large beach area with a beautiful sunset view of the waters and the aspen woods surrounding the lake. The park also has firepits and picnic tables that visitors can use to stay warm, cook a meal or make a sweet treat.

As its name also suggests, this location is a wonderful bird-watching place. Species commonly spotted undoubtedly include the American White Pelican but also Grebes, Double-crested Cormorants, and Merlin. If you visit at the appropriate time of the year, the number of birds you see at the Pelican Sanctuary will blow your mind.
