Muskrat Jamboree - Inuvik

Celebrating Spring in the Mackenzie Delta

For as long as we can remember people from across the Mackenzie Delta have gathered to celebrate the change of season after a long winter. In 1957 the first official Muskrat Jamboree was held in what is now the Town of Inuvik.

Set on the backdrop of the frozen East Channel of the Mackenzie River, this 4-day festival celebrates life, friendships, vitality, traditional skills & true authentic Delta culture.
