In 1874 Malcolm formed a partnership with a young Scotsman John Watson, who owned a furniture shop in Kincardine, Ontario. The company named Watson and Malcolm began producing furniture at Kincardine.

In 1897 Watson died. Andre Malcolm’s sons Andrew and James joined the business, and it became Andrew Malcolm Furniture Company. The furniture factory was based in Listowel from 1900.

Listowel Golf Course

The Listowel Golf Course dates back over 100 years! It first began in 1904 as a tennis court and a 9-hole golf course, and although the original green location no longer remains, the clubhouse has large portraits of women playing golf from the original location.

Eventually, a new clubhouse was purchased in 1927 and in 1960, additional land was purchased to expand the 9-hole course. Today, the course offers guests an 18-hole course.

Tralee Golf

Tralee Golf is a family-run executive golf course aimed at introducing and encouraging golf to beginners. They create a relaxed setting perfect for those unfamiliar with the game or who may not be as confident about their skills.

The golf is a 9-hole course that spans 2,000 yards. The cool part? They don’t enforce any dress code or take tee times. So you can come and simply enjoy yourself without worrying about anything but how much fun you are about to have! They also offer guests a 250-yard mat-based driving range, practice chipping, and putting green.

They only have a few rules you are asked to follow, including not stealing the range balls, keeping off the gravelled yard, and not trespassing onto surrounding properties.

Listowel Rifle & Revolver Club

Listowel Rifle & Revolver Club offers members a 200-yard range that allows for the ability to shoot while lying down. They also have 15 tables to shoot from, so competitions are possible and often lead to a lard crowd! The club also offers reactive targets every 25 yards out to 100 yards which can be shot with any type of bullet out of a handgun.

Considering the nature of the activity, there are multiple rules Listowel Rifle & Revolver Club has enforced to ensure safety for members and staff. Such rules include but are not limited to no guests on the property, a maximum of 5 people on each range, and the main gate being closed and locked when the range is not in use. If you plan to visit the club, please abide by all their rules!
