Veterans Memorial Park

This well-maintained park in downtown Durham depicts a granite monument from 1922. This monument honours the 36 soldiers lost in the great war and the battles they were lost in.

On top of this monument is a bronze soldier, and next to it is a German 17 cm Mittlerer Minenwerfer that the Canadians in the great war captured.

Westview Stables

Westview Stables offers boarding and training facilities for horses and includes large barns that hold 20 horses, an outdoor sand ring, a grass ring, a round pen, grazing pastures and access to 86 open acres and 300+ trails. They also have accomplished trainers on-site to offer game-specific training or help train problem horses.

Durham Art Gallery

This small museum was founded in 1979 and gave a peek into Durham’s history. With a wide range of contemporary art and a multidisciplinary view of cultural practice, this art gallery continues to inspire, educate and delight people of all ages. They often present visual and media art together with literary and performance events.

The Durham Art Gallery rests on the traditional land of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, represented by the communities of Saugeen First Nation and Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation.

McGowan Falls

This gorgeous waterfall just outside downtown Durham is a great spot to enjoy lunch or sit and look at the cascading falls. However, it is slightly difficult to get to the falls, so please ensure to take a right at the address listed below and follow the small dirt road to a small turnaround location, and you can walk to the waterfalls from there.

Country Corner Eatery

This cozy local restaurant is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner! They offer an all-day breakfast serving classic pancakes, French toast, omelets and breakfast sandwiches. In the afternoon and evening, they do a variety of main courses, including wings, salad, burgers, wraps, quesadillas and more.

Durham Conservation Area

The Durham conservation area is just a short walk from the town center and is a great spot to enjoy various activities. You can take in the scenic views along the Saugeen River, walk or bike one of the five recreational trails and play a game of tennis and golf.

In the winter, bring your snowshoes or skies and explore the various sights and sounds under the soft cover of white snow.

Rocky Park Campground

The amazing rocky park campground offers 130 sites to campers daily or seasonal. It includes 19 acres of property, 2500 feet of riverfront along the Rocky Saugeen River, numerous walking and recreational trails, volleyball and basketball courts, a pool and canoe rentals. They also have tenting, RV sites, and cabins that can be rented.
