The Kennedy House has been provincially designated a historic site in the Rural Municipality of St. Andrews. It was built in 1866 for Captain William Kennedy using stones from the Red Riverbanks at the St. Andrews Rapids.
The Gothic Revival style of the house is architecturally distinctive, compared to the homes in the Red River Settlement. The house is one of the seven remaining houses of its kind along the Red River.
